Reported by David Raybin
Mike Randles put on his prize winning 15mm Viking Raid game at Duncan’s man cave. We were all sipping grog and slaying the Saxons, when Mike pulled a trick and set upon us with Saxon ships. The enemy set our ships on fire and we his village. This will be another Nashcon game. Great fun. Oh yes these are 15mm fellows ~~

Hey Steve:
Thanks for the kind words. The large Viking boat is an old model that was sanded down to make it a waterline boat. I bought it off ebay. I think you can also get them through Amazon. It’s 1/72 scale, but that’s close enough for me. The smaller boats were originally made by Merrimack Miniatures. I think Old Glory sells them now. The Saxon ships (the ones without a dragon’s head) were scratch built by yours truly.
The figures are a mixture of several manufacturers. Essex, Chariot, Irregular, Two Dragons Production, Baueda, Splintered Light and many others that I can’t remember. The terrain was supplied by Uncle Bob Duncan.
And of course, as always, it’s Raybin’s prose that brings it all to life.
Thanks again, Mike

Hi,
I really enjoyed your report – a very impressive range of figures, terrain and (especially) the boats. Please can you identify the supplier of the boats and if possible the Viking figures. I recognised some LKM?QRF and Splintered Light figures.
many thanks, Steve
