Historical miniature wargaming is a hobby which involves the playing of games meant to simulate historical battles or hypothetical historical battles with toy soldiers on a representational diorama of the battlefield. Unlike boardgames, the table top is meant to recreate the battlefield. The soldiers can represent from 1 to hundreds of soldiers depending upon the scale. Historical miniature wargaming covers all periods of history and all types of combat from land, sea and air combat.
