The HMGS Organization’s purpose is to promote Historical Miniature Gaming. This chapter represents the Mid-South region. This chapter was established in June of 1988. It thrives today with active meetings every Saturday and every other Thursday. HMGS-MidSouth is a non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Tennessee serving members primarily South of the Mason-Dixon Line and East of the Mississippi River. This chapter is the second largest chapter of HMGS.
The Society encourages the study of military history and conflict simulation. Several members have put on public demonstrations to help bring history to life. The Socieity sponsors the Nashcon convention as well as demonstration games open to the general public to further it’s goals.
HMGS Mid-South is an accredited region of the Historical Miniatures Gaming Society, one of ten such regions currently recognized by the National Board of Directors. Each Region is responsible for their own activities. Membership in one region is recognized by the others for benefits such as reduced admission to HMGS sponsored events. Additional region specific benefits accrue to members of that region.
