Help us out! Download and print this Nashcon Poster and spread the word!
If you are interested in running a game at Nashcon, send an email to the address below. The Gaming Schedule Coordinator will contact you to assist in scheduling your game and to gather information for inclusion in the convention program. For other information, please click on the Contacts tab above. Email GameRegistration@hmgs-midsouth.org.
The board is looking for your suggestions to make Nashcon 2012 the best experience possible. You can contact them with ideas at board@hmgs-midsouth.org. Put “Suggestions for Nashcon 2012″ in the subject line and keep them constructive!
Our proposed timeline for Nashcon 2012 Planning is as follows:
Early December, we’ll begin modeling expenses and produce estimates for dealer costs. In January, we’ll solicit dealers and begin promotions. In February we’ll begin soliciting games from game masters. Then from February through early May we beat the drum and get the word out. The bulk of responses, in regards to dealer confirmation, games submissions, pre-registration, and so forth, will start arriving between February and March. We encourage you to go ahead and make your hotel reservations and send in any game submissions to assist the Convention Staff with their logistical decisions. We also encourage you to submit any ideas, suggestions or comments using the link given above. Your input is always welcome. Providing a pleasurable gaming experience for everyone is what we’re all working towards!
The Hotel starts accepting convention discount reservations starting in January. You must call the hotel directly and make your reservations through them to get this rate. The number is (615) 261-6100. This is always an excellent deal and I strongly recommend making reservations at the hotel. Besides the discounted rate, each room will get 2 complimentary buffet breakfasts in the hotel restaurant for each room night booked which helps keep your costs down. It also benefits HMGS-Midsouth because the more room nights we book, the lower the operating costs for the show.
The priority for Nashcon 2012 will be to rebuild the gaming community in the Mid-South, get more people to attend the show and provide a quality convention while still breaking even on operating costs. And while the economy has been partly to blame for the recent decline, we are still pursuing a more efficient strategy for running Nashcon and developing a more effective promotional campaign. To this end, we ask you to please get out there and spread the word about the show. We want as many folks to know about this as possible.
We look forward to seeing you at Nashcon!

I need to playtest a set of ACW land rules. Will anyone be available to help me give them a shot before Nashcon?

Hey, fellas! I look forward to being back at Nashcon 2012 as All the King’s Men. Any word on what the convention rate at the hotel is, and what the code for that is?

@Bob McCoy
At this time the poster layout is getting done, with hopes to have the first ones up before the end January. We have a few people that will drive to many of the game stores to place them and get feedback. I think we will have it in a PDF that anyone can download and print if they would like to help spread the word.

any chance of putting up a flyer with details on the convention and hotels that we could print out to put in local shops? We have a fairly decent sized amount of gamers in the Atlanta area and a few shops. We could put flyers up at these shops and help advertise the convention. Also, maybe a facebook page? Some folks might laugh but it could help and it’s free!
