DBA 3.0 Tournament - Saturday 9:00 am
Come try the exciting new Rules in this DBA 3.0 Tournament. We’ll either use the published version or the latest public play test version. The scale will be 15mm and the board size will be 24″ x 24″. Armies allowed will be open using the 2.2 lists but no BUAs. Play will be Swiss Chess Format with historical pairings in the opening games. There will be a short 15 minute 2.2 to 3.0 update class prior to the start of the tournament for those that haven’t played 3.0 before. The tournament is sponsored by the Nashville Track & Hull Club with prizes provided by the good folks over at Splintered Light Miniatures!
A Call to Arms: Star Fleet – Official NashCon Tournament (Starts Saturday at 9:00 am)
Join us for the first officially sanctioned US tournament of 2013. Moderated by Tony Thomas, a member of the Mongoose Infantry and an Amarillo Design Bureau Ranger, the tournament format will be 1,000 point fleets (of the empire of your choice) fighting through 3 rounds. Each round will feature a different tactical challenge, to be announced the day of the tourney, with all players facing the same challenge on identical maps. At the end of three rounds, the overall winner will be announced. Prizes will be provided by Mongoose Publishing and Amarillo Design Bureau. Starline 2500 miniatures must be used. Some miniatures, provided by the Tournament Moderator, will be available for use on a first come, first served basis.

“Clash of Warlords” SAGA Tournament
Saturday 9:00 am to 3:00 pm – No Entry Fee
SAGA is a hybrid miniature game set in the Dark Ages. Designed for skirmish level gaming, it features traditional Wargame elements combined with Euro-game mechanics with each side fielding between 20 and 40 figures. Craig Hebert hosts this exciting SAGA tournament for those brave souls wanting to test their mettle on the field of combat. The tournament will consist of 4 rounds with a 1 hour and 15 minute time limit per round. Players will field 4 point factions, in 28mm, chosen from the base rulebook or the 1st expansion only. No “Named” Warlord characters will be allowed. Players with their own 6 points worth of 28mm painted figures will be allowed to change their OB between rounds. Several “loaner” armies will be available on a first come, first served basis. If you think you have what it takes to lead your host to victory and become the most feared Warlord in the land then come on out and swing some Danish axes, ride down levy fodder with Norman Knights or let loose a slew of arrows and send those Vikings running for their dragon ships!

If you do not have army builder you need to get it sent in no later than 5/1/2013. If your army list does not match what you are playing anytime during the tournament, you will automatically be disqualified and have all your games reported as Major Loss’ and you may be asked to leave the event without a refund.

Tournament Details For Nashcon 2013 the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game
Points 500
WYSIWYG, Weapons, armor and upgrades chosen from the army list must be shown on the models used. In other words what you see is what you get!
In addition to your army, you must model on figure on a standard 25mm base to represent an emissary which will be used in one scenario during the event. It must be a model on foot with hand weapon only and not mounted.
All army lists must be turned into the organizers the day of the event (5/27/2012). If your army list does not match what you are playing anytime during the tournament, you will automatically be disqualified and have all your games reported as Major Loss’ and you may be asked to leave the event without a refund.
A set of Errata and FAQ’s for Lord of the Rings source books will be used and these are maintained on the Games Workshop website. We are aware that many issues may come up in a game that are not covered by the Errata’s or FAQ’s, If you ask for a rules clarification from the organizers their decision will be final on the situation.
Models with stat lines and point values included in the forces section of the following rulebooks, journey books, source books or any White Dwarfs will be used:
• The Lord of The Rings Rulebook Strategy Battle Game
• The Lord of the Rings: Kingdoms of Men
• The Lord of the Rings: The Free Peoples
• The Lord of the Rings: Mordor
• The Lord of the Rings: The Fallen Realms
• The Lord of the Rings: Moria & Angmar
• The Fellowship of The Ring Journey book
• The Two Towers Journey book
• The Return of The King Journey book
• The Hobbit
Special Rule – Good vs. Evil!
The Lord of The Rings is a modern classic of the tale of Good against Evil. As such the Strategy Battle Game is designed for battles between two forces, one Good and one Evil. This causes
a few problems for a format like the Nashcon where your Evil army of Uruk-hai could conceivably face five other Evil armies over the course of the weekend.
While this may seem like it would not be an issue, there are some problems that arise with the wording of various Special Rules and the effects of various artifacts wielded by powerful Heroes. These rules are typically worded in terms of affecting good or evil forces, or affecting a particular race like Orcs or Goblins.
For the purposes of games at Nashcon we ask that players determine reasonably who is affected by the rule or item. In almost all cases players can easily determine who is affected by substituting the words Friendly or Enemy models for Good or Evil and when it comes to rules that affect a particular race, that rule will only be applied to one side or the other.
We know you guys are reasonable players, and we look to you to make the right decision in the myriad of situations this issue could arise. If you are unable to, please call over the Organizers to make the call for you.
Also if you choose to use any of the new models as detailed in White Dwarf you must provide a copy of the article for the event organizers (if they do not have a copy) and as well as your opponents. This is to make it fair for folks that may not be able to get these articles to be able to see the special rules that apply to these new models.
Rules
1- You must use the same army list for each game also Bring 3 extra copies of your army list to share with your opponent
2- VERY IMPORTANT! What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). If you wish to use an item, it must be represented on the figure.
3- You must bring all materials needed to play including dice, measuring devices, templates, models, and any rules that you will be using.

Okay listing email address doesn’t show up in the actual posting.
Contact me, Craig at templars8310@yahoo.com with any Saga questions.
I neglected to say that the tournament will be a 4 round affair and there will be prizes for 1 – 3 as well as a best painted army prize provided by Architects of War (which by the way is where you order the ruleset)

Saga Tournament – 4 pts. – scenario 1 – First book and Northern Fury 1st expansion (8 army choices total)
Come out and play one of the “hotter” titles recently released, especially if you are able to get a copy of the rules (they run out of stock at Architects of war often)

There will be a minor tournament held in late March at the Keep, as a lead up to Nashcon.
Contact me at the email listed for any questions regarding the game.
Thank you,
