For a few years now I have been thinking about how to run an Iwo Jima game. The battle lasted 36 days and is one of the most important in Marine Corps history. Over the years I’ve been collecting photos, reading books and peering at maps and satelite intelligence. Here are some photos I’ve collected. I’ll be writing up more about my research on this battle over the next few months as lead up to the lecture I am giving at Historicon this summer. Enjoy! –Pete Mancini
