The question is does enough interest exist for there to be a Saga dark ages tournament at Nashcon? I personally would be really excited for it. I love the rules. I love collecting armies for it and I am really interested in getting in regular game play. There is a vibrant DBA crew that attends Nashcon every year and has a wonderful tournament. It would be great if there were also room for Dark Ages as well. If you have not had a chance to try Saga out I recommend you find someone with the rules and a spare army. It’s a lot of fun, fast playing and the rules are clear. The game play is fun and nuanced and its just such a blast playing in the post-fall of Rome period.
Here are my Pagan Rus as I get my case ready to accept them. I’ve been using Pelican cases for years for fire arms transport but they now sell “Storm Cases” which are not quite as tough but stronger than any other case sold for miniatures transport. I have filled them with custom pick and pluck foam that I ordered from the same company that sold me the case. Price wise it compares well up against the competition considering it is also watertight, very shock proof, flight certified and can be easily locked with baggage locks. I will post an article that describes this in more detail and what I needed to do to make the pick and pluck foam work with miniatures. Right now the case is holding 18 points of Saga armies without levies. It can hold even more than that. Total project cost was about $140 to protect $1200 worth of figures.
